Blogspot is a site by Google, and aims to provide totally free blog services.I moved here last Sept from SOHU and had taken this new blog as a place to share my happiness and bitterness with friends who are close to me.But Blogspot doesn't seem to be stable for no reason at all:it jams from time to time.
In fact there are some reasons.There are only 13 root domain servers around the world,non of which is located in Chinese mainland.So technically speaking ,the Chinese government cannot control the changes made to domains.But it had been so keen on the power of spying and controlling for political reasons,finally another damn method based on a damn technology was found and first used in 2002.We now call this method GFW,which is short for the Great Firewall of China.This technology acts as filters to screen out words in text messages deemed offensive by Beijing.Words like "Falun Gong" and "Dalai Lama" are simply weeded out and the web service might be shut down soon after that.
Now things get clearer.Some users of blogspot put some offensive words on some pages,then all of the blogs based on the very domain(Blogspot.com)cannot be visited in Chinese mainland.
